Book Forum on my book: Oceans Rise Empires Fall

Lucian Ashworth kindly organized an ‘author meets critics’ panel at the International Studies Association meeting in 2025 in Chicago. The contributions of those who participated were finally published today. Thanks to Caroline Nagel at Political Geography for her interest in the forum and Luke’s work in shepherting it to publication. I gave a series of book talks across the UK and Ireland and this forum enabled me to publish some of those slides. Attentive scholars of geopolitics will notice that the term ‘dialogues’ echoes Schmitt’s dialogues on power and space. But the similarity ends there.
